Memorizing Codes

Depending where a LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER is employed, he/she will have likely memorized hundreds of different CODES from local, county, state or federal statutes (Penal, Vehicle, U.S., Civil, Government, radio, etc.). Nonetheless, would you agree there is greater value in memorizing God’s word? Consider this:

1) Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.(Psalm 119:11 (NKJV)
2)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.(Psalm 119:105)
3) All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. (2Timothy 3:16 NLT)
4) My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you…Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:1,5 NKJV)
5) For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. (Romans 15:4 NKJV)
(Also see Deuteronomy 6:6-9, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 19:7-8, Psalm 37:31, Psalm 77:12, Psalm 119:103, Proverbs 4:20-23, Proverbs 7:1, Matthew 4:1-11, Acts 17:11, Acts 18:28, Romans 1:17, Hebrews 4;12, Ephesians 6:17, Philippians 4:8, 2Timothy 2:15)
