Perishable Skills

Many of today's Law Enforcement officers are required to participate in ongoing "perishable skills" training which consists of arrest and control techniques, drivers training and firearms/force options training. Staying skilled in these areas will protect both the officer and the public. Likewise, do Christians have "perishable skills" that need to be reinforced with practice and training? Here's what the Bible has to say:
Study God's Word: 2Timothy 2:15, Philippians 4:8
Memorize scripture: Psalms 119:11, 119:105, Deuteronomy 6:6-9
Regularly attend church and bible study: Acts 2:42, Hebrews 10:25
Pray often: 2Chronicles 7:14, Jeremiah 29:13, Mark 11:24, Psalm 34:17, 91:15, 1Th. 5 :17, Philippians 4:6-7
Give cheerfully and obediently: II Corinthians 9:6-8, Malachi 3:8-9, Mark 12:41-44, Luke 6:38
Frequently practice love: 1John 3:16,18; 1John 4:7-11; Matthew 22:37-39, Philippians 2:1-5
What do you think would happen if a Christian neglected or regularly practiced any of these areas listed above?
