When responding to an emergency call in an area which you are not familiar, what method do you use to get directions?  Do you use a map book, G.P.S., SmartPhone or perhaps a built-in map in your unit’s computer?  Or what about everyday life?  What do you use to help provide you direction?  Did you know the bible has much to say on this topic? Check this out:

  • A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9(NKJV)
  • The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalms 37:23-24(NKJV)
  • “O Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I can’t speak for you! I’m too young!” “Don’t say that,” the LORD replied, “for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!” Jeremiah 1:6-8(NLT)
  • To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. All a man’s ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD. Proverbs 16:1-2(NIV)
  • I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Psalms 32:8(NIV)

  • Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalms 119:105(NKJV)
  • All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. 2 Timothy 3:16-17(NLT)
  • “My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the LORD. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8-9(NLT)
  • Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2(NIV)
  • If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5(NIV)
  • For the LORD gives wisdom, and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6(NIV)
  • “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10(NIV)
  • Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Psalms 27:14(NIV)
  • The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? Psalms 27:1(NIV)
  • “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ …But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Matthew 6:31-34(NKJV)
