Leadership

Due to the very nature of their job, every law enforcement officer takes on a leadership role every day.  Similarly, every Christian should also take on a leadership role as described in the bible as follows.  Check this out:

  • And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Titus 2:7(NLT)
  • Again I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people’s hearts, and they will learn the truth. 2 Timothy 2:23-25(NLT)
  • … Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities... Matthew 25:21(NLT)
  • He cared for them with a true heart and led them with skillful hands. Psalms 78:72(NLT)
  • Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. Hebrews 13:17(NIV)
  • Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers… Acts 20:28(NIV)
  • Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. John 15:13(NKJV)
  • This is a trustworthy saying: “If someone aspires to be an elder, he desires an honorable position.” So an elder must be a man whose life is above reproach. He must be faithful to his wife. He must exercise self-control, live wisely, and have a good reputation. He must enjoy having guests in his home, and he must be able to teach. 1 Timothy 3:1-2(NLT)
  • Peter and the other apostles replied: “We must obey God rather than men! Acts 5:29(NIV)
  • But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…1 Peter 3:15(NIV)
  • Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:9-10(NIV)
  • …Those who are the greatest among you should take the lowest rank, and the leader should be like a servant.... Luke 22:26(NLT)
  • … whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. Mark 10:43-44(NIV)
  • And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ Acts 20:35(NLT)
  • Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Philippians 2:3(NLT)
  • You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2(NLT)
