Noble/Nobility (The “N” in IronGuys)
by
Randy Emon

A Noble law enforcement officer is one who is professional, compassionate, honorable, self-sacrificing, attentive, giving, seeks peace and righteousness, and at all times acts with integrity.  Check out what the Bible says about the Noble cop:

  • ...he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands. Isaiah 32:8(ESV)
  • The ones who can live here are those who are honest and fair, who reject making a profit by fraud, who stay far away from bribes, who refuse to listen to those who plot murder, who shut their eyes to all enticement to do wrong. Isaiah 33:15(NLT)
  • For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 1Peter 3:10-12 (ESV)
  • For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Romans 13:4(NIV)
  • Whoever walks in integrity walks securely...Proverbs 10:9a (ESV)
  • The righteous who walks in his integrity— blessed are his children after him.  Proverbs 20:7 (ESV)
  • To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.  Proverbs 21:3 (ESV)
  • When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. Proverbs 21:15 (ESV)
  • For we aim at what is honorable not only in the Lord's sight but also in the sight of man. 2Corinthians 8:21 (ESV)
  • And just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise. Luke 6:31(NKJV)
  • My lips will not speak falsehood, and my tongue will not utter deceit. Far be it from me to say that you are right; till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. I hold fast my righteousness and will not let it go; my heart does not reproach me for any of my days. Job 27:4-6 (ESV)
  • Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil.  Proverbs 4:25-27 (ESV)
