Our Gracious Lord, It is with heavy hearts that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Americus Police Department in the loss of one of their officers and for a critically wounded Georgia Southwestern State University campus security officer.  We first want to lift up this critically wounded Campus Security Officer into Your healing Arms as ask for Your healing touch to be upon the wounded officer who is being treated at a local hospital.  May You grant the doctors with supernatural wisdom and insight in order to properly diagnose and treat his injuries and bring about a full recovery.  We especially lift up the families of both of these officers and place them into Your Hands of grace and mercy.  May You be their strength and refuge at this very difficult time.  May You fill them with Your Holy Spirit and may they know they can cast their cares upon You for You intimately care for them.  As a manhunt is underway for the suspect, may Your give the investigators supernatural wisdom and insight to be able to track down this suspect and take him into custody.  May You cause this suspect to be confused, guilt-ridden and frightened.  May he be filled with grief and remorse and voluntarily surrender.  May You prevent this suspect from harming any other officers.  Lord, we ask You to draw the Americus Police Department ever so close to Your Side.  May they place their trust in You alone to sustain them through this tragic loss especially during this holiday season.  May they know You will be their Hiding Place at all times.  As Your word says, “I sought the Lord and He delivered me from all my fears”, may those in deep pain seek You and know Your mercies for we know you are able to do exceedingly abundant far beyond all that we ask or think.  May You draw many members of the Americus Police Department and the Georgia Southwestern State University Security Department ever so close to Your Side where they may come to know the love of Your Son who will carry them through this very difficult time.  And if any officer or family member do not know You, may they be given an opportunity to receive You into their hearts as Savior and Lord.  Continue to grant the investigators wisdom to quickly apprehend this suspect.  And as the Americus Police Department will now have to prepare a final farewell for their fallen comrade in the weeks to come, may You use this to draw many unto Your Side.  May they know that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved, This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
