Praying for critically injured Highland (IL) Police Officer John Swisher involved in an on-duty collision

Our Merciful Lord, it is with urgency that we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up critically injured Highland Police Officer John Swisher into Your Arms of love. As the news reports indicate his condition is critical, we seek Your Presence and healing power to descend upon him. May You grant the doctors and entire medical staff supernatural wisdom and discernment to be able to accurately diagnose his injuries and apply the correct medical treatment. May Your Holy Spirit surround him as he fights for his life. May Your Holy Spirit indwell the heart and mind of Officer Swisher and draw him ever so close to Your Heart. And if he does not know You, may you raise up Godly officers and chaplains to share Your amazing love and compassion with him. May Your love, grace, peace, wisdom and comfort especially settle upon the family of Officer Swisher as they rally at his side loving and supporting their loved one through this difficult time. May he and his family intimately know Your peace that passes all understanding and that it is You who are at their side especially during this Christmas season. Grant the family members a calm spirit as they wait upon the Lord. May they remember that Your word says to cast all their cares on You for You care for them. And as we know there are many other Highland Police officers rallying around their injured comrade and his family, may Your Arms of love and compassion touch their hearts and minds and may You bring them comfort as a Father loves his son. So Lord, touch Officer Swisher in a supernatural way and may You heal him in a way to bring glory to Your Name. May You use this collision to cause many officers and others to examine their hearts. If anyone has strayed from Your Love, draw them ever so close to You. May many know your word says, “…yet to as many received Him, to those who believe in His Name [Jesus], He gave the right to become children of God.” So Lord, draw many unto Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
