Praying for two wounded Byron (GA) Police Officers

Our Father in Heaven, we thank You for the gift of life and in this case of these two wounded Byron Police Officers, we thank You for sparing both of their lives.  As the news reports one of the officers was in surgery, we ask you to empower the medical staff with Your wisdom and insight to effectively identify the trauma and apply the correct treatment to restore this officer to full health.  May You be their Rock, Fortress and Deliver to the many other law enforcement officers who were present during that hectic scene this morning.  May They sense Your amazing Grace and peace in knowing that it was You who was with them during the execution of that search warrant. We thank You, Lord, for the countless prayer warriors across America and the world who continually and faithfully lift peace officers before Your Throne of Grace.  As officers at that scene had to use deadly force in which a life was taken, may Your Holy Spirit gently settle in the hearts of those who may have been emotionally or spiritually challenged and sustain them with the power of Your Holy Spirit.  Draw them ever so close to Your Side where they can hear Your heart beat.  Whenever anyone is in distress, we know You are the only One to whom we can faithfully depend upon to be our Ever-Present Help in times of trouble.  So Lord, may Your love, grace, peace and comfort especially touch the families of these two wounded servants and may they recognize this gift of life You gave them during this Christmas season.  Grant the Georgia Bureau of Investigation with wisdom to piece together all of the facts surrounding this incident.  And as every officer involved in this search warrant sees their families later today, may You draw all of them close to each other and especially even closer to You.  Lord, Your word says, “Some trust in chariots and some in horses,  but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.”  May those officers at that scene come to know they can always trust in Your because Your names are Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace.  If any officer does not know You, may they know that now is the day of salvation, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
