O’ God, as 2016 comes to a close, our hearts are broken at the tragic loss of yet another law enforcement officer, this time in Pennsylvania. As details are sketchy, we lift up the Pennsylvania State Police and ask for Your wisdom and mercies to be upon them as they are currently searching the for the murderer(s) of this trooper.  Lord, protect every law enforcement officer involved in this active search and encamp Your angels around them to prevent any more officers from suffering injury.  May You confound the heart and mind of the suspect(s) and cause him/them to surrender or be apprehended swiftly.  And if these suspect(s) try to harm any other law enforcement officers, may You cause their weapons to malfunction.  Grant amazing grace and restraint to those searching for the suspect and may they be certain to act professionally at all times.  May they know that blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God.  May Your peace and amazing grace be truly evident to every law enforcement officer involved in this search.  And as the family of this fallen law enforcement officer have likely just been notified, it is only the comfort of your Holy Spirit that can embrace them at this very difficult time to uphold them with Your Arms of Love.  May You Presence comfort those mourning even as they must remain professional at this most difficult time.  May the families who just suffered this loss be comforted by Your Amazing Grace and presence. Grant endless mercies to the entire the Pennsylvania State Police and the many allied law enforcement agencies.  Grant the investigators wisdom and may the suspect(s) be apprehended quickly.  May they know that Your Word says, “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial…”, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
