Dear Lord, Our hearts are broken and spirits heavy as we mourn with the law enforcement officers in Alabama from this on-duty murder of a Kimberly Police Officer.  Lord, we come ever so boldly and needy before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up the men and women of the Kimberly Police Dept. as they are grieving the loss of one of their own co-workers.  First and foremost, Lord, we ask You to pour out Your Amazing Grace on them and may it be Your Presence and Love sustaining them at this horrific tragedy.  May Your mercies and grace additionally uphold the family of this fallen officer who are in deep mourning at this loss just after the holiday season.  May You grant the investigators with supernatural insight and wisdom to be able to use every investigative tool to search for and locate the suspect, 37-year-old Preston Chyenne Johnson, and may he be brought to justice.  May You cause any weapons he may have in his possession to malfunction.  May you cause this suspect to be emotionally fatigued and his spirit filled with guilt and uncertainty.  Wherever he may try to flee, may You raise up witnesses, family and friends to turn him in.  May he not be able to sleep or rest.  May You allow him to not harm any other officers or citizens.  May you grant the investigators wisdom to swiftly arrest him and bring him to justice.  May your peace that transcends all comprehension be made ever so real in the heart of the entire Kimberly Police Department.  Your word says to cast all our cares on You for You care for us.  So Lord, we come to You on behalf of the men and women of the Kimberly Police Department and entire law enforcement community and seek You love, grace, peace mercy and comfort.  O’ Lord, may You bring comfort to many with Your word as follows, “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. And, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.“  May Your Holy Spirit guide the investigators to this suspect and bring about a closure to this intense manhunt.  May You cause this tragedy to draw many officers and others to seek your Son for peace.  In the midst of this manhunt, we know the men and women of the Kimberly Police Department must begin the task of preparing a final farewell to their fallen comrade.  May Your mercies and grace guide them and may many be drawn unto Your Son in who them is a peace that passes all understanding.  May they know that the Joy of the Lord will be their strength, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
