Our gracious Lord, we are so thankful to the many faithful prayer warriors who lift law enforcement officers across America before your wonderful Throne of grace. And today Lord, we again are ever so thankful to You Lord for hearing our prayers and protecting two Anne Arundel County Police Detectives wounded in the line of duty. We are so thankful to You Lord, for sparing their lives. As the news reports one officer is in critical but stable condition, and the other has non-life-threatening wounds, we seek You amazing grace, mercies, peace and comfort sweetly settle upon their hearts and minds as they reel from their near-death encounter. May You grant the doctors both natural and supernatural wisdom to be able to render the correct treatment and bring about a full recovery. May Your Presence be with the families of these two wounded detectives and may they know it was Your mercies and Your grace which spared their lives. As we know the families of these detectives have been emotionally and spiritually challenged, may Your words as follow bring encouragement to them, “The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”  So Lord, may your grace and mercies continue to touch the men and women of the Anne Arundel County Police Department and continue to protect them from all harm, danger and evil which they must encounter every day. May they know Your word says, “The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.” And as this investigation is still ongoing, we ask You to fill the investigators with wisdom and insight in order to gather all evidence and facts surrounding this encounter.  As this suspect is on the loose, may You grant the investigators with wisdom, insight, knowledge and intuition to be able to successfully locate and arrest the suspect who tried to take the lives of tow of Your peacemakers.  And if this suspect tries to use his weapon, may You cause the weapon to malfunction.  May You raise up citizens to spot and report the location of this suspect.  May this suspect be unable to sleep and may Your Holy Spirit cause him to surrender. At every turn, may his mind cause him to be restless and guilt-ridden.  May Your grace and peace continue to settle upon the entire law enforcement community in Anne Arundel County and abroad. May every peace officer use sound tactics and may they remember their training. May Your word as follows bring comfort to those in need, “For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.” As this manhunt continues, may many officers be drawn to You, Lord, and because of these near-death incidents and may many come to know You as their personal Savior and Lord.  May any law enforcement officer struggling with faith be pointed to this link, http://bit.ly/2Chopdr, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
