Our Merciful Lord, we again seek Your healing touch and Your comforting Presence upon a Chicago officer shot in the leg and for three Saugus officers who were stabbed and slashed in the line of duty.  So, Lord, because You are Our King of Kings, it is with a deep heart of thanks and gratitude that we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up these officers and place them into Your arms of love men and women of the Las Vegas Police Dept. and the Washington D.C. Police.  As these officers are being attended to by medical personnel, may You grant the doctors wisdom to identify and treat their injuries and restore them to full health. We are so thankful for sparing the lives of each of these peacemakers. May Your mercy, comfort, love, peace and presence touch the families of these law enforcement officers and sustain them with Your amazing grace as they rally around and support their loved ones. And as countless members of the Chicago Police Dept. and the Saugus Police Department love and support their co-workers through these near-death encounters, may Your Holy Spirit speak to their hearts to know Your word as follows says, "Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret it leads only to evil. For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land."  O God, May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain those in need. As we know traumatic incidents like these can cause short-term and long-term emotional trauma, may Your amazing grace preserve the hearts of those and draw them unto Your side. We lift all who need a touch of our Master's hand and place them into Your Arms of Love. And in the weeks to come may many be drawn unto the love of Your Son in whom there is everlasting life and peace. May many come to know Your son, Jesus, as their savior and Lord. May many be drawn unto Your side to know that, “ “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”  May every officer and family member intimately know Your love, grace and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
