Our Father in Heaven, We seek your mercy and healing touch to be upon Officer Matthew Knowlton injured in an on-duty vehicle collision. As the news reports indicate he sustained serious injuries, we ask for Your grace and peace to be upon his physical body. May You raise up the correct medical specialists who will be able to diagnose and treat his injuries and bring about a full recovery without restriction. May Your peace that passes all understanding touch the heart and mind of Officer Knowlton and may Your Holy Spirit draw him close to Your side. May Your Presence be made ever so real to the men and women of the Northampton Police Department as they rally around their comrade and his family at this very emotional time. May Your abundant grace and mercies especially touch the family of Officer Knowlton and may they intimately know and sense Your sweet Presence with them. May they know it is You who will carry them through these uncertain times. Lord, we also ask for Your grace and wisdom to be bestowed upon investigators in order to determine the facts surrounding this collision. We also pray for other injured person and seek Your healing touch upon her. May Your amazing grace also touch every law enforcement officer, firefighter, paramedics who responded to that scene and may Your grace descend upon their hearts and minds. May you use this collision to draw not only Officer Knowlton close to Your Side, but also many of his co-workers and family members as well. May they know that you are the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the Light of the World, Our Living Water, our Bread of Life, our Messiah and our God. May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to support not only the family members, but many Northampton officers and co-workers. Finally, because Your word says, “Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”, we come into Your Presence in the name of Your Son. May You heal Officer Knowlton in whatever way You choose. And as a result, may many come to receive You in their hearts as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
