Our Gracious Lord, every day we are so thankful to those faithful prayer warriors who lift law enforcement officers across America before your wonderful Throne of grace. And Today Lord, we again are ever so thankful to You Lord for hearing our prayers and protecting two New York City Police Officers. We are so thankful to You Lord, for sparing their lives and allowing them to be able to go home to their families. As the news reports both officers suffered non life-threatening wounds in which one was shot in the leg and the other in his Kevlar vest, we seek You amazing grace, mercies, peace and comfort sweetly settle upon their hearts and minds as they recover from their near-death encounter. May You grant the doctors wisdom to be able to render the correct treatment and bring about a full recovery to both officers. We are so thankful to you Lord for these officers staying strong and remembering their training to stay safe as they had to fire their weapons. So Lord, may your grace and mercies continue to touch the men and women of the New York City Police Department and continue to protect them from all harm, danger and evil which they must encounter every day. May You continue to fill the investigators with wisdom and insight in order to gather all evidence and facts surrounding this encounter. May Your Presence be with the families of these two wounded officers and may they know it was Your mercies and Your grace which saved them. May your Holy Spirit confuse the hearts and minds of any other suspect(s) in the future who may try to harm or take the life of any New York City Police Officer or any other law enforcement officer. May their efforts be thwarted by Your intervention. May Your grace and peace settle upon the entire law enforcement community in New York and the surrounding law enforcement agencies. May Your word bring comfort to those in need, “For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.” May many officers be drawn to You, Lord, because of these incidents and may many come to know You as their personal Savior and Lord. This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
