Our Gracious Lord, we are ever so grateful to You Lord, for Your hands of protection to have been upon this San Antonio police officer. We are so thankful this officer reacted and used his training and experience to save his life. As You continue to protect Your servants, Lord, we thank You Your amazing Grace and Mercy on this officer. We therefore, come into Your Presence Lord to lift up this wounded San Antonio officer before Your Throne of Grace and ask for Your blessings and comfort to touch his heart and mind as he recovers from this near-death experience. As the news reports is wound is not life-threatening as he was shot in the hand, we ask You to continue to guide the doctors and grant them wisdom to treat and restore this officer to full health. May he not have any long-term negative effects because of this wound. May You grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the details of this incident in which officers shot three suspects in which two have died. As this wounded officer’s family is likely at his side, may they sense Your grace, peace, mercy, presence and comfort carrying them all through this very emotional time as a result of this near-death experience. May Your words as follow bring encouragement to those in need, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”, And, “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” May your grace and mercy also touch the men and women of the San Antonio Police Department and hold them ever so closely to Your side where there is amazing peace that passes all understanding because of Your Love. May Your peace and everlasting comfort prevent this officer and any co-workers from enduring any short term or long-term emotional trauma. And Lord, as we know Your word says that all things work together for good according to your riches and mercy, may You use these attacks upon Your servants to continue to draw many men, women and children unto the Love of Your Son in who there is forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. May you especially cause many San Antonio officers to search their hearts inwardly and if any have been backslidden or need to receive You into their heart, May Your Holy Spirit touch those in need. May You draw them back into Your loving arms, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
