Praying for critically injured Harris County (TX) Deputy Ross Duncan Koonce struck by a vehicle during a pursuit

Our Gracious Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace to lift up critically injured Deputy Ross Duncan Koonce who was intentionally struck by a vehicle. As the news reports indicate he was in critical condition, we come into Your Presence Lord, the Great Physician, and ask for Your mercies and grace to intervene and touch this deputy from head to toe. May You continue to grant the medical staff wisdom to use their skills and training to diagnose and render the correct treatment in order to fully restore Your injured servant to complete health. O’ God, spare his life we pray! May Your love, presence, mercy, grace, comfort and peace especially settle upon the family of Deputy Koonce who are rallying at his side as we know they are filled with a multitude of emotions, anxiety and concern. May your grace and love especially touch the many other Harris County deputies who were involved in that life-threatening incident in which they had to use deadly force. May Your grace also be poured out upon the paramedics and first responders who were at the scene and rendered first aid to their injured comrade. May Your presence and peace also sustain them and uplift them with Your grace, mercy, comfort and Arms of Love. As this incident is still under investigation, may You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the details of this attempted murder upon this deputy. We especially lift up every member of the Harris County Constable into Your Presence as they are coping with this near loss of one of their colleagues and may Your amazing grace to carry them through difficult days ahead. And if this injured deputy does not know Your love, may You supernaturally speak to his heart and mind and reveal to him Your word as follows, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” May he, and many law enforcement officers be drawn unto Your side Lord as they rally around their injured colleague. May You heal this injured deputy in any way that will bring Glory to Your Name. May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a tremendous support to any in need. Finally, may many be drawn to the Love of Your Son for Your word says to “…cast all your care upon [Jesus], for He cares for you.” This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, Amen.
