Our Loving Father, we come before Your Throne of Grace, Lord, to seek Your mercy and comfort to be upon three Dallas Firefighters injured in a massive explosion. We are so thankful to You Lord for sparing their lives. As three of the firefighters are being treated at a trauma center, we ask You to continue to grant the doctors and entire medical staff wisdom to identify their injuries and apply the correct treatment to restore them to full health. We also seek Your mercies and grace to touch these injured firefighters with Your arms of love as they undergo continued treatment. May Your amazing grace, peace and healing touch settle upon them and the injured civilians and draw them ever so close to Your Side. May your grace and mercies especially be with the many family members of these firefighters affected by this near-tragedy and bring them ever so close to Your side. May your peace that transcends all understanding settle on their hearts and minds as You carry them through this emotional time of uncertainty. May your mercies and grace touch the many co-workers emotionally and spiritually affected at the Dallas Fire Department. May You also be with those investigating this incident and grant them wisdom and insight to help with the overall investigation. Lord, every day, thousands of firefighters are constantly in harm’s way. So Lord, we want to continually bring every one of these servants unto your mercy seat and ask for your protecting hand to be upon them wherever they may go and may you protect them at all times. May the men and women of the Dallas Fire Department know how much they are loved by YOU and that Your word says that how blessed is the man (or woman) who takes refuge in the Lord. May many friends and colleagues of these injured firefighters be drawn to You Lord—the only One who can and will provide them a peace that passes all understanding. Lord, may You raise up firefighters and chaplains to express Your Hope and grace at this very difficult time. May Your word bring comfort to those in need as follow, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” And, “Let your steadfast love comfort me according to your promise to your servant.” Lastly Lord, may many come to know You in a real and personal way, this we ask in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
