Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into Your Presence to seek your supernatural touch upon a critically wounded Sheffield Police officer. As the news reports this officer was airlifted to a hospital, we ask You to provide the medical doctors treating this officer right now with wisdom from On-High. May they accurately assess the officers’ wounds and apply the appropriate treatment to spare his/her life. As this wounded peacemaker is likely sedated in the hospital, may Your Holy Spirit gently settle on this officers’ heart and soul and reveal how much You love him/her. O’ Lord, we also thank You for sparing the life of the Muscle Shoals officer who was shot in the Kevlar vest. May Your mercies, grace and comfort touch them and draw them ever so close to Your Side. As the family is likely at the side of Your critically wounded servant, may You pour out an unending measure of Your love, grace, peace, mercy, comfort and most of all Your sweet presence to carry them through this difficult time. May Your words as follows speak deeply in the hearts of those in need, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” As the news reports the suspect fled but was later arrested, may You grant the investigators with supernatural wisdom and insight to gather the facts surrounding this deadly suspect died in this encounter may You grant the investigators wisdom to investigate this horrific scene. We especially lift up the men and women of the Muscle Shoals and Sheffield Police Departments as we know this has deeply affected them. May Your Holy Spirit touch every heart and draw them ever so close to Your Side to be comforted by Your sweet Presence. And as this has likely emotionally affected this wounded Muscle Shoals officer from this near-death encounter, may he be comforted by a special touch of Your Hand upon his/her heart and mind right now. Continue to touch and heal your seriously wounded Sheffield peacemaker and restore this officer to full health. May Your words continue to bring comfort to many as follows: “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
