Praying for a wounded Seattle (WA) Police Officer

Our merciful Lord, we come before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up a wounded Seattle Police Officers into Your Presence. As the officer suffered a graze wound, we are so thankful unto You for sparing the life of this officer. O’ Lord, may Your Presence and Amazing Grace settle upon the heart and mind of this peacemaker and may Your love, grace, mercy and comfort carry this officer through the near-death encounter. May Your Holy Spirit speak to the hearts of this officer and if he/she does not know You personally, may You speak to his/her heart and allow him/her to receive You into their heart. As this wounded officer’s family is likely at their loved ones side may they know the power of Your word was follows, “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” And, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” O’ Lord, as the families of both officers are rallying at their sides to support them, may they know You said, “Peace I leave You, my peace I give you.” We are thankful the officer survived in which deadly force had to be used in which the suspect died. Grant the investigators of the Seattle Police Department peace in the middle of this storm. May Your amazing grace and presence surround them and encourage their hearts. May every cop know Your word says, “Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” So, Lord, we continue to lift up Your peacemakers across America into Your Arms of Protection. May Your grace and peace touch the heart of your peacemakers everywhere and keep them same from all harm and danger, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
