Our Gracious Lord, we are ever so thankful to YOU for sparing the life of Officer Wes Singleton.  As the news reports he was shot in the leg, we ask for your healing touch to continue to be upon him and ask You to give the doctor’s wisdom to bring complete healing to his entire body and restore full use to his legs.  May your grace sustain Officer Singleton in his heart, soul and mind due to his near death encounter.  Lord, may your grace and mercies settle upon the many other law enforcement officers who were present when this attack occurred as they come to grips with nearly losing a friend and colleague.  May Your Presence especially be with Officer Singleton’s family and uphold them with your love, grace, peace and mercies as they cope with this near tragedy.  Lord, we are ever so grateful for your protecting hand to have been upon these law enforcement officers.  As we know traumatic incidents like this can cause short-term and long-term emotional trauma, we ask You to pour out Your grace on anyone troubled in their heart, mind and soul and preserve them with Your grace and love.  And, Lord, if there are any law enforcement officers or family members who do not have a personal relationship with your Son, may your Holy Spirit draw them unto His side and may many come to know Him as their Savior and Lord and receive eternal life in Christ.  May they know when someone becomes a Christian, he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same anymore. A new life has begun!  This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
