Our Gracious Lord, We come into Your Presence to lift up a wounded Southfield Police Officer and are so grateful to You for sparing his life with the use of body armor.  As we know this officer likely suffered some form of injuries due to the impact trauma, we ask for Your grace, mercy and continued healing touch be upon his body and restore him to full health.  May You grant the doctors and medical personnel wisdom to effectively treat him and that will lead to a complete recovery.  As we know the emotional trauma on this wounded officer can be overwhelming, may he sense Your grace and peace to overwhelm his heart, and spirit with peace.  May You also be with the officer’s family and co-workers and grant them peace in their hearts and minds as they cope with this near tragedy.  As the news reports indicate the suspect was shot by law enforcement officers and died, we seek Your amazing grace to settle upon the hearts of those who were forced to fire their weapons to save their lives.  May Your supernatural Presence be with all of the law enforcement officers who were at that shooting scene and protect their minds and hearts from any mental and emotional repercussions so common to those who have experienced life threatening events.  Grant all of the investigators wisdom and insight to continue this investigation and gather all of the facts in this incident.  May the presence of your Holy Spirit be revealed to all of the officers and if any do not know you personally, may they somehow have an opportunity to receive You into their hearts and obtain eternal life with You.  May any officer struggling emotionally or spiritually know Your word says, “call upon me in the day of trouble;  I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”  This we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
