O’ Lord, we stand on the truth of Your word that You are the God of all Comfort and know Your word also says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.”  So Lord, this week has been horrific for Your peacemakers across America.  We therefore come with humble and broken hearts before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the Fargo Police Department and the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department as they endure the tragic losses of their men who lost their lives in the line of duty.  We ask You to pour out Your amazing grace, love, peace, comfort upon the men and women of both departments.  May You wrap Your arms of loving kindness around them and uphold them as they grieve and mourn these losses of their dear friends and colleagues.  May Your Holy Spirit especially touch the families of those lost in these incidents and may Your Holy Spirit indwell in their spirits and carry them in these coming days.  O’ Lord, we ask You to take these tragedies and use them to point many unto the love of Your Son in whom those in mourning can cast all of their burdens.  O’ Lord, may Your amazing grace, peace and comfort touch the families of these fallen peacemakers and may they be forever comforted by Your Presence. We especially seek Your grace, comfort, love, peace and Presence to surround the men and women of the Fargo Police and Tulare County Sheriff’s Department as they come together to support each other at this difficult time of uncertainty.  No matter what, Lord, we place our Trust in Your Grace as You are our Rock, Fortress and deliver—an ever-present help at all times.   And as both departments will be preparing to say farewell to their fallen brothers in the coming days, may You raise up Godly officers, Chaplains and friends to share the love of Jesus to many who can comfort their hearts, minds and souls.  May many hear the good news about Your Son, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
