Praying for two wounded Baton Rouge (LA) Police Officers

To our Rock and Fortress, Your word says, “I look to you for help, O Sovereign LORD. You are my refuge; don’t let them kill me.  Keep me from the traps they have set for me, from the snares of those who do wrong.  Let the wicked fall into their own nets, but let me escape.”  Ps. 141:8-10

Yes, Lord, YOU are the ONLY hope and salvation for the men and women in law enforcement in America and across the world.  We therefore, once again, come with humility and hope before Your Throne of Grace to lift up these two wounded Baton Rouge police officers.  As the news reports indicate both will survive their wounds, we are ever so deeply grateful to YOU for Your hands of mercy and protection to have been upon them and for sparing their lives.  More than anything, Lord, we ask You to speak to the hearts of committed Christians across America and the world to constantly pray for Your peacemakers.  May Your hands of love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort touch these wounded officers and draw them ever so close to Your Side.  May they sense Your Peace in their hearts, minds and spirits.  Continue to grant the doctor’s wisdom to accurately diagnose and properly treat their wounds to bring about a full recovery.  We also ask You to draw them close to You to comfort them as they re-enact this life-threatening scenario in their minds and may You prevent them from enduring any long term emotional trauma.  May Your Holy Spirit especially comfort the men and women of the Baton Rouge Police Department as they had to endure this horrendous attack on two of their co-workers.  May Your grace reign in their hearts and minds.  Most importantly, touch the families of these wounded peacemakers and provide them with Your peace that passes all understanding.    Lord, we again seek prayer warriors to be raised up for Your peacemakers across America.  May every peacemaker know You will be their Rock, Fortress and Deliver and that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
