Our Merciful Lord, as we are grieving the loss of a Euless Police Officer we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Department as they mourn the loss of Deputy Travis Russell who died in an on-duty collision.  O’ Lord, we ask You to pour out Your mercy and grace upon them and ask You to sustain them with Your arms of love and comfort.  As the details of the collision are still under investigation, may You grant the investigators wisdom to be able to gather all of the facts to determine the cause of this collision.  May Your amazing grace especially descend upon Deputy Russell’s family as they are in deep distress and mourning this tragic loss.  Your word says, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.  So Lord, for those who know You, we stand on the promise of Your word and ask Your will to be done.  May you take this tragedy and use it for Your Glory.  As the Las Animas County Sheriff’s Department must begin the process to say their final farewell to Deputy Russell, may You raise up Godly officers, chaplains and others to be a light and draw many unto the love of Your Son.  May the name of Jesus be lifted high and may the good news be proclaimed to those in darkness.  May many know Your peace that passes all understanding, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
