Our Gracious Lord, for the third time this week, the dangers of being a law enforcement officer have been brought to the forefront this time by another law enforcement who was stuck by a vehicle while on-duty. As the news reports indicate he suffered serious injuries, we come boldly before Your Throne of Grace to lift up this injured trooper into Your mighty arms and ask You to pour out Your mercy and healing power upon him.  As this trooper was airlifted to a hospital a few hours ago, we ask You to have the correct medical specialists in place to be able to diagnose his injuries and then treat him to bring about a full recovery.  As we know this has deeply affected the entire New Jersey State Police, O’ Lord, we ask You to pour out Your mercy and grace upon their department and ask You to sustain them with Your arms of love and comfort.  May Your amazing grace especially descend upon this troopers family as they are at the hospital supporting their loved one.  O’ Lord, we ask you to continue wrap Your Arms around them for Your word says Your will always be our Rock, Fortress and Deliver and an ever present help in times of trouble.  Continue to pour out Your mercy on Your injured servant and may this trooper sense Your presence in his heart and even as the doctor’s are treating him.  May You raise up Chaplains and other Godly officers to reach out and support those who are in need at this very emotional time.  Grant the investigators wisdom to piece together the details of this collision.  May the name of Jesus be lifted high and may the good news be proclaimed to all.  May many know Your peace that passes all understanding, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
