Lord Jesus, We come into Your Presence to lift up a wounded undercover New York City Police Officer. As the news reports indicate his wounds are not considered life-threatening, we thank you that his life was spared and now ask you, Lord, to grant the doctors and other medical professionals wisdom and insight in order to effectively treat and completely restore him to full health.  May you especially settle your peace, grace and love upon the family of this wounded officer as they rally around him to love and support him as he undergoes treatment.  May your grace also extend to the men and women of the entire New York City Police Department who are deeply concerned for their friend and co-worker.  May your peace that passes all understanding guard the hearts and minds of every officer and may their investigators be able to piece together what happened and apprehend any potential suspects without any further incident or injury to any other officer.  May the members of the New York City Police Department be granted an extra measure of Your Grace and Mercy.  As we know incidents like this can cause emotional trauma in the present and in the future, we therefore ask you, Lord, to send your endless mercies upon this wounded peacemaker and the officers who were initially at that incident to preserve their hearts and minds in You.  May every New York City officer know Your word says, “The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.”  May many officers be given an opportunity to know the Love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, this was ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.
