Our Gracious Father, We come unto Your throne of grace to lift up the men and women of the Massachusetts State Police in the on-duty traffic fatality of Trooper Thomas Clardy.  Lord, just as you wept at the death of Lazarus, we therefore know you intimately understand the sorrow that the members of the Massachusetts State Police are experiencing right now.  So, Lord, we ask for your grace, mercies and peace to abundantly settle upon their hearts and minds and draw them ever so close to your side for comfort.  May your amazing grace especially touch Trooper Clardy’s wife and six children.  O’ Lord, we ask You to console them with Your love, mercy, presence and grace and draw them ever so close to your side.  May anyone who is struggling emotionally and spiritually know Your word says, “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds…and t0 …”Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”  May you grant the investigator wisdom to gather all of the facts surrounding this tragic collision. In the coming days, Lord, may your peace that passes all understanding settle upon every trooper, co-worker, family member, friend and first responder.  And as the Massachusetts State Police begins the process to say their final farewell to Trooper Clardy, may you use this final service to draw many unto the love of Your Son and may many come to a first time relationship with the Author of Life, this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
