Our Father in Heaven, We come before Your wonderful Throne of Grace to lift up this wounded Tampa Police Officer.  As the news reports indicate an officer and a suspect both were wounded and their conditions are not known, we come into Your Presence and ask for Your continued mercies to be poured out upon this wounded officer.  O’ Lord, we ask You to continue to guide the medical professionals hearts and minds and fill them with wisdom to properly diagnose and treat his wounds and bring about a full recovery.  May Your grace, peace, mercy and comfort be made evident to the family of the wounded officer.  May Your peace also settle upon the heart of this wounded officer and may Your grace, comfort and unending love be made real in his heart and spirit.  May Your grace and mercies also be upon the many other Tampa police officers, medics and medical professionals who were involved in the initial care and treatment of this wounded officer as they may often experience the same emotional trauma as the wounded officer.  May You also grant the investigators wisdom to gather all of the facts surrounding this incident.  May this wounded officer, right not, sense Your presence and Your Amazing Grace in his heart and mind at all times and may he be drawn ever so close to Your side.  Grant him and his family an amazing peace to carry him through the days ahead.  May You preserve his heart and mind in Your mercies and grace in order to prevent him from enduring any long-term emotional trauma.  And if this officer or even the wounded suspect do not know Your love, may Your Holy Spirit draw them unto Your side where they can seek Salvation found only in Your Son.  May your name be forever glorified, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
