Our Heavenly Father, We come before your loving and wonderful Throne of Grace to lift Lt. Andy Harris into Your healing hands.  We are ever so thankful that You spared his life with the use of a ballistic vest. As he is being treated at a local hospital, we ask that You would give the doctors and specialists wisdom to be able to effectively treat abdominal wound and completely restore him to full health.  May you use this life-threatening incident as an opportunity to draw many Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers close to Your side where there is endless mercy and grace.  May Your protecting hands be upon every law enforcement officer in Charlotte-Mecklenburg and the surrounding agencies.  May You give every officer wisdom and insight wherever they may go and to remember their training and experience at all times.  And if there are any other individuals who may be planning more attacks on any Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers or officers from surrounding agencies, we ask that Your Holy Spirit would go forth and thwart any attempts to harm officers.  May they be stopped in their tracks, may their weapons malfunction and may their minds be confused.  We also ask for Your loving Holy Spirit to settle upon the hearts and minds of every officer and draw them close to Your side.  May Your peace that passes all understanding settle on them to know that You will be their Rock and Shield.  May Your grace especially touch the family of Lt. Andy Harris and may they be comforted by Your sweet presence.  Grant the family members grace and mercy.  Even though a suspect was arrested, we ask for Your Holy Spirit to reveal the everlasting life found only in Your son.  May every Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer be drawn ever so close to Your side and may they be given opportunities to know the eternal life which can only be found on Your Son.  This we ask in the name of Jesus  Christ, Amen.
