O’ LORD, our prayer early this morning for cops was this:  “Strengthen  me to,  ‘Put on the whole armor of God, that [we] may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil…For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds’ “.  So Lord, as an answer to our prayers, we thank You O’ God for sparing the life of this Austin peacemaker.  We therefore lift this wounded officer before Your Throne of Grace and seek Your healing touch upon him/her.  As this officer is being treated at a local hospital, we ask You to grant the doctors with supernatural wisdom and insight to diagnose his injuries and then apply the correct treatment.  As we know an officer had to use deadly force and a suspect’s life was lost, we know these encounters can be traumatic for so many.   We therefore ask You to pour out Your Mercy and Grace on any officer who may be emotionally suffering from this encounter and may that officer be drawn unto Your side.  May You prevent any officer from enduring any emotional trauma.  We also want to lift the men and women of the Austin Police Department into Your Presence and ask You to sustain them with Your arms of love and peace.  May Your love, grace, peace, mercy and comfort especially touch the family members of this wounded officer as they rally around their loved one at the hospital.  Grant the investigators wisdom to gather all of the facts surrounding this incident.    We again ask you, O’ Lord, to strengthen every law enforcement officer to, Put on the whole armor of God, that [they] may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil…For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.  May You use this incident to draw many officers unto Your Son.  And if this wounded officer does not know You, may Your Holy Spirit draw him unto Your Son where he may receive forgiveness of sins and everlasting life.  In the name of Jesus we pray.
