Praying for a wounded Chicago (IL) and Arlington (TX) Police officer

Our Father in Heaven, We are thankful to You, Lord, for sparing the lives of two more of your peacemakers.  We first come in deep earnest before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the Chicago Police Department who are searching for two additional suspects who tried to kill Your peacemakers.  Lord, we are thankful this Chicago Officer suffered a shoulder wound as we know it could have been much more serious.  May You protect the investigators searching for these suspects from any further injury.  May You confuse the minds of these suspects and cause their weapons to malfunction and may You cause these suspects to surrender and/or be spotted and apprehended.  May You raise up citizens to report any suspicious activity and prevent anyone else from suffering harm.  May Your grace also be with this Arlington Police Officer who was shot in the leg.  May Your grace, peace and comfort settle upon him and draw him close to Your side.  May Your peace and comfort also touch the wounded Chicago officer.  May You grant the medical doctors with wisdom and insight to accurately diagnose their injuries and render the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. Lord, draw both officers ever so close to your side where they can know Your peace from this near-death experience.  May Your grace, love, comfort and peace touch the men and women of the Chicago Police and Arlington Police Department as they rally around their co-workers to support them in their recovery.  Most importantly, we ask for Your presence to made manifest to the families of these wounded peacemakers and sustain them with the presence of Your Holy Spirit.  O’ God, Your Word tells us to, “Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.” May Your angels continue to encamp around peacemakers across America and the world and keep them in Your protective arms.  May many officers, friends and family members of these wounded officers be drawn ever so close to Your side for grace and comfort.  In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
