Our Gracious Lord, it is with a sense of urgency that we lift up the men and women of the San Bernardino Police Department before Your Throne of Grace as they battle evil in their city.  We stand on Your Promises Lord as Your Word says, “You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out and my lying down;  you are familiar with all my ways.”  So Lord, as Your San Bernardino Peacemakers seek to maintain peace in their community as a result of this ongoing crime wave, we know they must confront and combat evil wherever they go.  May You grant every officer supernatural wisdom and insight combined with physical, emotional and spiritual strength.  May every officer be granted an intuitive knowledge to discern the presence of evil and take the necessary steps to protect themselves and those innocent ones in their community.    May every officer know, “God is [their] refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”  May those law enforcement officers and those in the community pray these words, “Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation; rescue me from deceitful and wicked men. You are God my stronghold.” O’ God, we ask You to grant the Chief, community leaders and others with wisdom from on high to make the best tactical plans in order to restore peace to the city.  May they know that your word says to,  “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. “  So Lord, may You raise up Godly officers, leaders, citizens and others to be Your instruments of righteousness against this plight in the city.  May You use these near-death encounters today as a means to draw many officers ever so close to Your Side.  May You raise up Godly officers within the police department and abroad to be light to every San Bernardino Police Officer.  May every officer be given an opportunity to receive your Son as their savior and Lord for Your word says the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus.  This we ask in the name of Your Son, Amen.
