Praying for two wounded Manchester (NH) Police Officers

Our Father in Heaven, we come boldly into thy Presence to lift up two wounded Manchester peacemakers before Your Throne of Grace.  We are ever so grateful to You that their lives were spared and ask You to pour out Your amazing grace and mercies upon them as they are being treated at a hospital.  As the new reports indicate their wounds are not considered life-threatening, may Your Holy Spirit touch the medical doctors and entire medical staff and fill them with supernatural wisdom to accurately diagnose their wounds and apply the correct treatment to bring about a full recovery. O’ Lord, we especially want to lift up the families of both wounded officers and seek Your grace, mercy and comfort to descend upon their hearts and minds as they support their loved ones at this very emotional time.  May Your grace, love and peace settle upon the minds, heart and bodies of these two wounded officers and may You draw them ever so close to Your Side for comfort to receive Your peace that passes all understanding.  May Your comfort also extend to the men and women of the Manchester Police Department and sustain them with Your arms of loving kindness.  As they and many other allied law enforcement agencies search for the suspects, we ask You to protect them at all times.  We ask Your Holy Spirit to speak to the hearts of these suspects and cause them to surrender.  But if they choose to attempt to harm any more officers, we ask You to confuse their minds and also cause their weapons to be inoperative.  May You raise up witnesses to report the location of these suspects and may they be unable to sleep or rest.  As we know traumatic incidents like these can affect many officers, co-workers, firefighters and paramedics, we ask Your Holy Spirit to settle upon their hearts and minds and upon these two wounded officers.  May You preserve their spirits in Your Arms of Love.  May they be kept from enduring any short-term or long-term emotional trauma.  May anyone struggling emotionally or spiritually know Your word says, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.’”   Lord, be a magnificent Fortress around every officer.   May You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to reach out and point many to the Cross, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
