Our Merciful Lord, We come earnestly into Your Presence Lord to lift up a wounded West Covina Police Officer who was shot on duty.  As the early news reports indicate this officer is in surgery, we seek Your amazing grace and mercies to be upon Your wounded peacemaker.  May Your healing touch and Your Presence be upon him.  Lord, grant the doctors and specialists with supernatural wisdom to be able to accurately diagnose and especially render the proper treatment.  As we know the entire West Covina Police Department has been emotionally affected at this near-death encounter of one of their comrades, may they sense Your grace and presence carrying them through this difficult time.  May Your grace, mercy and comfort especially touch the family of this wounded officer as they rally around him at the hospital.  May You raise up chaplains and other Godly officers to be a beacon of hope and encouragement throughout this emotional time.  As the news reports that a search is underway for a suspect, may Your Holy Spirit guide the investigators and allow them to quickly locate the suspect.  May You cause the suspects mind to be confused.  May You prevent this suspect from attacking any other law enforcement officers.  And if he attempts to attack anyone else, may you cause his weapon to malfunction.  May You cause the suspect to be unable to sleep or rest and may You cause the suspect to be located and captured without any further delay.  May You grant the investigators wisdom to be able to gather all of the facts surrounding the attempted murder of one of Your Servants.  May You use this near-death encounter to cause many officers, co-workers and family members to examine their hearts.  If any have walked away or strayed from Your Son, may they know that if they confess their sins, You are faithful and just to forgive their sins and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. And if this wounded officer does not know You personally, may he be given an opportunity to receive You as Savior and Lord.  May You use this time to draw many officers and family members unto the love of Your Son.  May they be ever thankful to You for protecting them.  May every Godly officer remember that whatever they do, in word or deed, may they do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
