Our precious Lord, We come before Your Throne of Grace, O’ Lord, to lift up Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy Jamie White who was wounded while performing his  job as a peacemaker.  Lord we are so thankful to You for sparing his life and ask you, Lord, to grant your continued healing power to be upon him.  As the news reports he is stable, we ask You to give the doctors wisdom to be able to effectively treat and completely heal the wound near his eye.  May Deputy White intimately sense Your Presence, comfort, love, grace and mercies as he is being treated.  As we know his family is also at his side, we know they, too, are undergoing the same emotional trauma and we therefore seek you’re your love and mercy to touch their hearts and minds, too.  May you be with the entire Harris County Sheriff’s Department and the many allied agencies that are involved in the search for the suspect.  May you grant the investigators wisdom and supernatural insight to be able to track down this suspect.  May Your Holy Spirit confuse the mind of this suspect and prevent him from harming any more peacemakers or any other citizens.  May You cause this suspect to have no rest.  May You confuse his mind and grant him no peace.  May he be guilt-ridden and surrender peacefully.  And if this suspect tries to use his weapon on any other law enforcement officers or citizens, may You cause the weapon to misfire or malfunction.  O’ Lord, grant peace and grace to every peace officer involved in this search.  As we know the countless families of these law enforcement officers involved in this search are worried, may they know they can cast all their cares upon YOU for YOU care for them.  On this memorial day weekend surround every law enforcement officer with Your Mighty Arms and preserve them as they serve their communities.  As Your word says that we are to ask for wisdom, that is what we ask—for all law enforcement officers involved in this search.  May You be their refuge and strength—an ever present help in trouble.  May You use this near-death encounter to draw Deputy White and many others ever so close to Your side.  May many come to know Your love and forgiveness as a result of this incident, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
