Our Gracious Lord, we are ever so thankful to You, Lord, for sparing the lives of every Orlando Police officer involved in that deadly shooting today. We especially want to lift up an Orlando Police SWAT officer who suffered a gunshot wound to the head but was spared because of his ballistic helmet.  As this officer suffered some minor injuries from that shooting, we ask You to pour out Your grace, love, peace, comfort and mercy upon him and may You draw him ever so close to Your Side where he may intimately know Your grace. May You continue to grant the doctor’s with wisdom and insight to accurately diagnose and treat his wound. Lord, as we know there were multiple other officers who faced death during the siege, we know that many of them are in need of Your Amazing grace to settle upon their hearts and minds. May every officer involved know Your word says, “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” O’ Lord, we are so thankful for Your Protection to have been upon these peacemakers today. As we know their families were equally as concerned for the safety of their loved ones, we ask You to pour out Your Peace that passes all understanding upon the families of every law enforcement officer involved in that incident. May You use this near death experience to cause many Orlando Officers to reflect upon their souls and may many be drawn to eternal life found only in Your Son. And as there are many families who lost loved ones today in this catastrophe, we ask You to uplift each of them with Your Arms of love and carry them through this extremely difficult time. Finally Lord, we lift up the army of investigators involved in this difficult task to gather all of the facts surrounding this terrorist attack. O’ Lord, give them supernatural, emotional, spiritual and physical strength as they methodically piece together the details of this horrific incident.  May You especially guard their hearts and minds from enduring the rigors of any associated emotional trauma. May Your Holy Spirit draw many officers and family members ever so close to Your Son in whom there is everlasting life. May many officers, their families and families of the victims know Your word say, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”   Lord, use this tragedy to draw many unto Your Son in whom there is unconditional forgiveness and everlasting life, In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
