Our Merciful Lord, thank You for YOUR amazing grace to have been upon Officer Hancock in sparing his life in this senseless ambush attack.  We are so grateful to You Lord for Officer Hancock being able to return fire to protect himself.  As the news reports indicate Officer Hancock sustained a wound to the abdomen, we ask You to grant the medical professionals with wisdom and insight to accurately treat him and restore him to full health.  Even as the suspect was shot, we lift him into Your Arms and ask You to reveal Your amazing grace on his heart and draw him unto the love and forgiveness of Your Son.  May You grant the investigators with wisdom and insight as they gather the facts surrounding this blatant attack on Your Valdosta peacemaker.  Lord, we ask You to pour our Your love, grace, peace, and mercy upon the family of Officer Hancock as they are at this side supporting him through this emotional time.  May Your Presence and Mercies descend upon the Valdosta Police Department and upon every law enforcement officer in America.  May Your Wisdom fill the hearts and minds of every law enforcement to be ever vigilant in everything they do.  May every officer always remember their training in any activity they are involved both on-duty and off-duty.  O’ God, we ask You to raise up prayer warriors across America to constantly pray for Your Peacemakers.  We also lift up the leaders of America to be Godly Peacemakers to carry every citizen through this difficult period.  May Christians and others across America take Your words to heart as follows, “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  Lord, we lay our hearts before You as a nation and confess our sins to You.  We have killed unborn babies, sin in rampant, evil is called good and good is called evil.  We humbly come before Your Throne of Grace to confess we need Your bountiful mercy, love, peace and grace.  We are laid bare before You—our Mighty God, in the name of Jesus, our King of Kings, we pray, Amen.
