O’ God, our hearts are broken beyond imagination at this attack on Your Louisiana peacemakers. O’ God, the men and women of law enforcement and their families need to hear from heaven in order to receive grace, mercy and comfort as follows for your word says,  “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”; “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”; “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”;”  if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  O’ Lord, we lift up the men and women of the East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office and the Baton Rouge Police Dept. before Your Throne of Grace.  Reach into their hearts and souls and make Your Presence known by Your Holy Spirit.  May Your amazing grace touch the families of these fallen peacemakers as they are in shock and mourning at this tragic loss.  O’ God, as we recognize that these attacks on Your peacemakers are satanically inspired, we rely on Your word that says, “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.”  Lord, may You use these attacks to speak to the hearts of the millions of American law enforcement officers and their families and may they have a deep desire to seek Your mercy and presence at all times.  May every law enforcement officer always place their trust in You—the Author of Life.  Lord, may every law enforcement officer know Your word says, “Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord.” And, “The LORD is known by his justice; the wicked are ensnared by the work of their hands.”  O’ Lord, turn around these attacks on Your peacemakers across America.  Restore peace, restore justice, restore calm.  And as there are several officers with gunshot wounds being treated at a hospital, pour out Your Grace and mercy and spare their lives.  May You provide the best care and treatment and restore these officers full health.   And as these law enforcement agencies must now prepare a final farewell, may the name of Jesus be glorified in each of these services.  May thousands of officers received Jesus as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
