Our Father in Heaven, Because You alone are our Rock, Fortress and Deliverer and our ever-present help in times of trouble, we earnestly come before your Throne of Grace to lift up the Travis County Sheriff’s Department as they are in deep mourning in the loss of their dear friend and co-worker, Sgt. Craig Hutchinson.  Lord, may your sustaining grace, peace and mercy touch the hearts and souls of every member of the Travis County Sheriff’s Department.  May your love, grace and especially Your Supernatural comfort be with his family as they endure this great, sudden loss.  May You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to piece together the facts of this tragic incident and locate those responsible for this heinous murder.  As the members of the Travis County Sheriff’s Department will now have to prepare to say a final farewell to their friend and co-worker, may the power of your Holy Spirit settle upon each deputy and grant them strength in their hearts, minds and spirits as You carry them through this tragic loss.  May the love and Jesus be made real to each of them.  May every deputy, family member and friend intimately know that no matter what, you will never leave them nor forsake those who love you and have received you into their hearts.  May they know that You do not want anyone to perish but for all to come to repentance in You alone.  May many be drawn to the Cross of Christ where there is mercy and grace.  May your comfort settle upon the Travis County Sheriff’s Department and upon every family member.  Hold them so very close to your heart.  May You raise up chaplains and other Christian officers to bring comfort to all.  May those who do not know You be given an opportunity to receive You as Savior and Lord; this we ask in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen..
