Our Father in Heaven, Once again we find ourselves so very grateful to You, Lord, for sparing the life of Phillips County Sheriff’s Deputy Alan Guderjahn.  We come boldly before Your Throne of Grace, O’ Lord, to lift this deputy into Your presence and ask for Your healing power to be upon the multiple stab wounds that he suffered.  As he is being treated at a local hospital, may You be with his mind and spirit and may He sense Your presence carrying him through this very emotional time.  Grant the doctors supernatural wisdom and insight to properly treat and heal his wounds.  May Your abundant mercies sweetly settle upon the men and women of the Phillips County Sheriff’s Department and may Your presence be made known in their hearts and minds as they support their colleague through this very emotional time.  May Your peace and grace especially touch the family of Deputy Guderjahn Your wounded servant of righteousness) and draw them ever so close to your side as they love and support him through this challenging time.  May You give the investigators wisdom and insight to gather the facts surrounding this encounter as we know deadly force had to be used by this deputy.  Finally, Lord, may Your amazing grace and peace that passes all understanding touch the heart of Deputy Guderjahn and draw him close to Your side where He may sense Your presence.  And if he does not know You in a real and personal way, may You lead a Godly officer, chaplain, pastor or friend to tell him how much You love Him.  May he know Your word says, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God .”  May He and many others receive You into their heart as Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
