O’ Lord, Every law enforcement officer in America and their families are saying, “No, not again!”  We lift up this wounded officer into Your Arms, Lord, and ask you to grant the doctor’s wisdom and insight to accurately diagnose and treat his wound.  Dear Lord, spare his life.  May the Kevlar vest be the instrument used to save his life.  So, as we lift up this officer before Your Throne of Grace, we ask You to wrap Your loving arms around him as he is being treated.  May Your peace that passes all understanding sustain this officer and may he be drawn ever close to Your side for the continuing comfort of Your Holy Spirit.  May Your mercy, grace, love and everlasting comfort especially settle upon the family of this officer as they are likely just arriving at the hospital to support their loved one.  May Your grace additionally touch every member of the Indianapolis Police Department as they rally around to support this wounded officer and his family.  Grant the investigators supernatural wisdom and insight to gather all of the facts and evidence surrounding this life-threatening encounter.  Lastly Lord, if there are any law enforcement officers who are struggling to make sense of this attack, may they know that You are the ONE who ordained their job as peacemakers in order to protect and serve their community wherever they may be.  May many law enforcement officers come to recognize their need to draw near to You for Your Word says, You will then draw near to them.  May many come to intimately know Your grace and forgiveness and make a decision to receive Your Son as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
