Our Gracious Lord, We come before Your Throne of Grace seeking Your healing touch upon a Carbondale Police Officer who was seriously wounded during a pursuit.  As the news reports indicate his wound was serious, but not life-threatening, we ask You to grant the medical staff wisdom to continue to accurately treat his wound and restore him to full health.  May Your peace and comfort gently settle upon his heart and mind as he comes to grip with this near death experience.  And as his family are at his side, may Your Holy Spirit bring comfort to them at this very emotional time.  May you send Your angels to encamp around the many Carbondale Police officers and allied law enforcement agencies who are searching for the suspect who was able to escape.  Lord, we ask You to grant the Carbondale Police and entire law enforcement community with wisdom, insight, direction and supernatural knowledge in order to be able to locate and successfully apprehend this person.  And if this suspect should attempt to harm any more law enforcement officers, may Your Holy Spirit cause him to stop any further attacks.  May Your peace that transcends all comprehension settle upon the hearts and minds of not only the officers searching for the suspect, but the entire Carbondale Police department and their families.  May Your grace prevent any officers involved in that life-threatening encounter from suffering any long-term effects this type of trauma can have upon those who’ve experienced incidents like these.  May Your grace be made manifest to all.  Lord, we ask You to draw many officers ever so close to Your side to be their refuge, shield and strength, and may many come to know You personally as their Savior and Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
