Lord Jesus, We come in earnest into Your Presence, O’ Lord, to lift up Officer Scott Davis who is being treated for a gunshot wound to his leg.  We thank you that his life was spared and now ask you, Lord, to grant the doctors and other medical professionals wisdom and insight in order to effectively treat and completely restore him to full health.  May you especially settle you peace, grace and love upon his family as they rally around him to love and support him as he has already undergone surgery.  May your grace also extend to the men and women of the entire Marietta Police Department as they support their friend and co-worker.  May your peace that passes all understanding guard the hearts and minds of every officer and may their investigators be able to piece together what happened.  We are so thankful that both suspects were apprehended and will be brought to justice.  May the members of the Marietta Police Department be granted an extra measure of Your Grace and Mercy to sustain them in the coming days.  As we know incidents like this can cause emotional trauma in the future, we therefore ask you, Lord, to send your endless mercies upon your wounded peacemaker, his partner and the many other officers who were initially at that incident.  May Your amazing grace preserve their hearts and minds in You.  May every Marietta officer know Your word says, “The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.”  May many officers be drawn ever so close to Your Son and given an opportunity to know the Love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, this was ask in the name of Jesus, Amen.
