O’ Lord Jesus, we come with deep earnest and great need before Your Throne of Grace as we lift up Officers Juanita Davila and Toamalama Scanlan who were both critically wounded in the line of duty.  As the news reports indicate both are being treated at a local hospital and are undergoing surgery, we ask You to fill the medical doctors with supernatural wisdom as they seek to save both officers.  Lord, Your word says, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; he knows those who take refuge in him.”    So Lord, we take refuge in You love and grace.  And because You also said, “cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you”; we seek Your power, Your Presence and Your healing touch to be upon these officers as they are fighting for their life.  We are so thankful the suspect was apprehended and may justice prevail.  As we know this has deeply affected the families of Officers Davila and Scanlan, we ask You to pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them and draw them ever so close to Your side where they can sense Your Presence carrying them through this very difficult time.  As Your word says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction…”, we ask You to comfort the men and women of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department as they rally around their injured colleagues and family at this very emotional time.  Lord, may You grant the investigators wisdom and insight to gather all of the facts surrounding this attempted murder on Your Servants.  Lord, may you bring good through this heinous attack.  Continue to protect law enforcement officers across America.  May every officer remember their training and may they be granted supernatural wisdom in everything they do.  Continue to pour out Your healing power on Your wounded servants, in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
