O’ God, we come with great urgency before Your Throne of Grace to lift up the men and women of the Palm Springs Police Department as they are currently engaged in a tactical situation in which they are searching for an armed suspect.  May You surround every law enforcement officer with Your Angels and protect them from any further harm as they attempt to apprehend this suspect.  Our hearts are deeply broken again as we lift up the men and women of the Palm Springs Police Department in this tragic murder of two on-duty officers.  And as a third is being treated at a hospital in which his/her condition is unknown, we ask You to grant the medical staff extraordinary wisdom to be able to save the life of this officer and bring about a full healing.  May Your amazing grace and mercies touch every Palm Springs officer and allied law enforcement agency as they are involved in this incident.  May Your Presence especially touch the families of these officers and may they sense Your Presence, Your peace and Your mercies carrying them through this horrific tragedy.  And as the suspect is still being sought. We ask You to cause any weapons he may have to malfunction.  May You prevent this suspect from using any weapons upon any other officers.  May You cause the suspect to peacefully surrender and be brought to justice.  O’ God, are hearts are broken.  We know there are countless broken hearts and spirits right now.  May You fill every law enforcement officer at that crime scene with an extra measure of mercy and grace as they must stay professional and composed despite this horrific loss of their friends and comrades.  Grant the law enforcement leaders wisdom and insight to bring this stand-off to a successful and peaceful close.  May Your following word come real in everyone’s hearts right now, “He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. Psalms 91:15.  O’ God, pour out Your grace upon the Palm Springs Police Department in the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
