O’ God, it is Your Mercy we seek right now, Lord.  It is Your Presence that the entire American Law Enforcement community seeks as we are rocked to the core by this horrendous ambush-murder of two of Your Servants.  As the details are limited at this moment, we know the men and women of the Des Moines and Urbandale Police Departments are in shock.  We therefore come with great earnest before Your Throne of Grace to lift them into Your Arms of love and grace.  May You grant the law enforcement investigators wisdom to be able to gather the necessary evidence in order to bring to justice those responsible for this heinous murder upon Your Peacemakers.  We especially lift up the families of these fallen officers as they are just coming to grips at this horrible loss of their loved ones.  O’ Lord, it is Only Your Words and the comfort of Your Holy Spirit that can uphold the countless broken hearts among the Des Moines and Urbandale Police Departments and the many friends and family members of these two fallen officers.  Your Word says, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”  So Lord, we know You will forever be in the hearts and souls of those so deeply crushed in their spirit right now.  Continue to strengthen the men and women of the Des Moines and Urbandale Police Departmentst.  And if there is a suspect who is still on the loose, may Your Holy Spirit go forth and cause this suspect’s weapons to malfunction.  And if this suspect tries to use his weapon again upon Your Servants, may You supernaturally protect every officer and give them supernatural insight to protect themselves and their community.  May Your Holy Spirit settle in the hearts of every Des Moines and Urbandale police officer and draw them ever so close to Your Side for Your Word says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  Lord, May Your love, grace, mercy, comfort and Presence touch every officer, family member, friend and entire community.  May many call upon You in the midst of this dark moment, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
