Our Merciful Lord, our hearts are broken again as we mourn with the men and women of the New York Police Department in this tragic murder of Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo .  Lord, we ask that Your Word as follow would resonate in the hearts of law enforcement officer’s everywhere, ““Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” It is Your Amazing Grace we seek for the entire New York Police Department who grieving so greatly at this senseless loss.   Lord, we also want to lift up Sgt. Emmanuel Kwo who was also wounded in this attack.  May You pour out Your love and grace on his heart and mind as he comes to grips with this near-death encounter.  May Your love grace, mercy, comfort and unending love settle upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your side.  May you especially be with the families of all officers involved in this deadly encounter as they come to grips with this tragedy.  Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon the men and women of the New York Police Department as they come to grips with this murder and attempted murder upon two of their colleagues.  May You fill the investigators with supernatural wisdom as they piece together the facts of this encounter and may this be used as a training aid to prevent other tragedies like this. May Your angels continually encamp around every member of the New York Police Department and keep them safe from all harm and danger.  May You draw many every so close to Your Son in whom there is forgiveness and everlasting life.  And as the New York Police Department must now begin to prepare a final farewell to their fallen brother, may You raise up Godly officers and chaplains to be a support to many who are deeply hurt and in mourning.  May you bring about good through this loss. May Your protecting hand continue to be upon every law enforcement officer across America.   This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
