O’ Lord, we come before Your Throne of grace to mourn and grieve with the entire Show Low Police Department in the tragic loss of Officer Darrin Reed.  As we know the hearts of so many are hurting ever so greatly, it is only Your grace that can carry them through this very difficult time.  Because Your word says, “The LORD is good,  a refuge in times of trouble”, may You comfort many draw many ever so close to Your Side.  May Your amazing grace, love, peace and comfort fill their grieving hearts.  We especially lift up Officer Reed’s family and seek Your supernatural presence and comfort upon their hearts and minds as they are in shock at this tragic loss.    We also want to lift up a wounded Aurora Police Officer and seek Your healing power upon his wound in which the news report he was in  stable condition.  We are so thankful to You Lord for sparing this officer’s life and allowing him to go home to his family once again.  May You grant the investigators in Aurora with wisdom as they piece together the details of this shooting in which a suspect lost his life.  We urgently come into Your Presence, Lord, to lift up the law enforcement community as they search for the suspect who murdered Officer Reed.  May you grant the investigators wisdom as they search for 36-year-old Daniel Erickson.  First, Lord, we ask You to cause any weapons in his possession to malfunction and/or misfire should he try to harm any other officers.  May You raise up citizens to spot and report his location to authorities.  May You cause the suspect to not be able to sleep.  May You confuse his mind and may he be captured quickly and safely.  And if the suspect tries to harm any officer or citizen, may you surround them with Your Angels. Finally, as we know both of these life-threatening incidents in Show Low and Aurora can cause short-term and long-term emotional trauma, we seek Your divine intervention into the lives of many officers affected and sustain them with Your Arms of Love and grace.  As the Show Low Police Department must now prepare to say a final farewell to Officer Reed, may You use this as an opportunity to cause many officers and family members to reflect on the condition of their hearts and may many be drawn ever so close to the Love of Your Son.  May You forever be their “Hiding Place.”  May You raise up chaplains and Godly officers to share the peace and comfort of Your Son to many hurting co-workers.  May You bring peace in the middle of this difficult storm.  May Your strength be made real in the hearts of many and may many be drawn to the Love of Your Son where many will have an opportunity to receive Him as their Savior and Lord.  May Your peace that passes all understanding be made real, in the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
