Merciful Father, Enough! No more!, O’ God, we need Your divine intervention upon every peacemaker across America.  Our prayer is this O’ Lord, “Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I have set the LORD always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”  We come with broken hearts before Your throne of Grace.  Hear our cry O’ God.  We first want to lift up this wounded officer into Your Arms and ask You to pour out Your love and grace on his heart and mind as he comes to grips with this near-death encounter.  May You grant the doctors amazing wisdom and insight to effectively treat his wounds and restore him to full health.  May Your love grace, mercy, comfort and unending love settle upon his heart and mind and draw him ever so close to Your side.  May you especially be with his family as they come to grips with this near-tragedy.  Most importantly, Lord, we ask You to pour out an extra measure of Your grace upon the men and women of the Canonsburg Police Department as they come to grips with the murder of Officer Scott Bashioum.  May You fill the investigators with supernatural wisdom as they piece together all of the facts surrounding this deadly incident.  We especially lift up the family of slain Officer Scott Bashioum into Your Presence.  As we know they are in mourning and grieving ever so greatly, we ask You to pour out Your overflowing grace to carry them through these difficult days ahead.  May Your angels encamp around every Canonsburg Police Officer and keep them safe from all harm and danger as You carry them through this horrendous tragedy.  May You draw this wounded officer and countless other co-workers and friends ever so close to Your side.  May many know Your word says, “Now is the day of salvation.”   May Your protecting hand continue to be upon every law enforcement officer across America.   May every law enforcement officer have these words etched in their hearts, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.” As the Canonsburg Police Department will be preparing a final farewell, may You use this to draw many to the Cross of Christ.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
