Our Mighty Protector, We are so grateful Lord that Your protecting Hand was upon Deputy Robert Cordova and we thank You that his life was spared during this violent attempted murder on his life.  As the news reports indicate he has already been treated at the hospital, we ask for Your grace, peace and mercy be upon this him and his family as they come to grips with this near death experience.  May You guide the doctors hands in order to identify any trauma and apply the correct treatment.  May your peace and comfort additionally settle upon the men and women of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Department and the other allied law enforcement agencies who were involved in the aftermath of this life-threatening incident.  We are ever so grateful for the citizens who came forth to assist Deputy Cordova in the middle of that violent confrontation.  As we know law enforcement officers across America and the world will be involved in similar life-threatening incidents like this, may your angels continue to encamp around every law enforcement officer as they seek to protect those in their communities.  May You continue to place law abiding citizens wherever they are needed to come to the aid of peacemakers.  May Your grace, Presence and comfort be with Deputy Cordova in the coming weeks as he deals with the aftermath of this near-death encounter.  May You keep him from suffering from any long term emotional trauma. May your peace that passes all understanding settle upon him every member of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Department as we know incidents like these can be stressful to many others.  May every deputy intimately know that You will forever be a Shield and a Strong Tower about them because the job of a law enforcement office has been ordained by You.  May your Holy Spirit draw many officers and co-workers to come to know You in a real and personal way.  May they intimately know that eternal life is found only in Your son.  This we ask in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
